Jennifer DeCesaro serves as a Special Advisor for Renewable Energy and Transmission in the Office of the Secretary for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Prior to her current role, Ms. DeCesaro served as the Market Transformation Team Lead for DOE’s Solar Energy Technologies Program and SunShot Initiative. In this capacity, she directed a broad portfolio of activities at local, state, and utility levels to reduce non-hardware photovoltaic and concentrated solar power system costs and eliminate barriers to solar market development. Ms. DeCesaro also worked for the Clean Energy Group, the National Conference of State Legislatures, the Catamount Institute, and as an environmental consultant in the U.S. Virgin Islands. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Biology from Colorado College and a Master’s degree in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School.
