HUBERT R. STALLARD retired as President and Chief Executive Officer of Bell-Atlantic Virginia, Inc. (a telecommunications company), now known as Verizon Virginia Inc., in 2000. Mr. Stallard is Chairman of the Pension Investment Committee and a member of the Executive Committee and the Executive Compensation, Nominating, and Corporate Governance Committee. He has been a director since 1991.
