Donald G. Drapkin is a Vice Chairman of Lazard International and Chairman of Lazard’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining Lazard in 2007, he was Vice Chairman and Director of MacAndrews & Forbes Holding Inc. and held similar positions with various affiliates from 1987 to 2007. He serves as a Director of American Lawyer Media, Inc., Pharmacore, Inc. and TransTech Pharma, Inc. From 1977 to 1987, Mr. Drapkin was a partner in the New York law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. He began his career as an attorney with the firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore from 1971 to 1977 and is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York City Bar Association. Mr. Drapkin is a Member of the Dean’s Council of Columbia Law School and serves on the Board of Trustees of Brandeis University and on the Board of Directors of the Federal Law Enforcement Foundation, Inc., the Jewish Community Center on the Palisades, Lincoln Center Theater and Phoenix House Foundation, Inc. In addition, he is a member of the Hope & Heroes Children’s Cancer Fund Advisory Board and the Board of Visitors Emeritus of Columbia Law School. Donald Guy Drapkin was born March 1 1948 and grew up in Queens, New York. He studied for a Bachelor of Arts degree at Brandeis University and later graduated from Columbia Law School in New York. He is survived by partner Sue Hostetler, former wife Bernice Drapkin, children Matthew Drapkin, Dana Drapkin Baumgarten, Nicole Drapkin Schaffer, David Drapkin and Amanda Drapkin.
