Stephen T. Boswell is a Trustee and Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of Stevens Institute of Technology. Dr. Boswell is the president and CEO of Boswell Engineering, a multi-state, multi-discipline civil and environmental consulting firm. Certified by the National Structural Engineer Certification Board, Boswell is the appointed municipal, planning, and zoning board of adjustment engineer for more than thirty communities in northern New Jersey, and is a licensed professional engineer in 26 states including New Jersey, where he is a licensed professional planner and site remediation professional and a certified municipal engineer and public works manager. Boswell is a member of the Board of Governors of Hackensack University Medical Center and its Foundation, and is president of the Buehler Challenger and Science Center board. He is also a founder and current member of the Board of North Jersey Community Bank. Boswell is an elected fellow of both the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Council of Engineering Companies. He holds a B.A. in biology/chemistry from New York University, an M.A. in biological sciences from William Paterson University, and the Degree of Civil Engineer (a double M.S. in Civil Engineering) and a Ph.D in environmental engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.
