Jonathan Schorr joined our board of directors in 2008 after learning about North Star Fund through his friend and fellow board member Julissa Reynoso. "North Star Fund appeals to me because they support organizations that are working on issues of poverty, racism, homophobia and civil rights." Jonathan contributes financial, investment and legal experience to the board of directors. He currently works as a structurer at the financial investment firm Seneca Capital Group. Previously he worked with HSBC, Dewey LeBoeuf LLP and several other law firms, and is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School. Jonathan has volunteered with several New York City based nonprofit organizations. He provided legal and fundraising support for Urban Justice Center, tutored high school students through Prep For Prep, and serves on the board of directors of Opening Act, a group that provides New York City public school students with arts education.
