Harris W. Hudson was named our Vice Chairman, Secretary and a director in May 1998. From 1964 until 1982, Mr. Hudson served as Vice President of Waste Management of Florida, Inc. and its predecessor. From 1983 until 1995, Mr. Hudson served as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Hudson Management Corporation, a solid waste collection company that he founded. In 1995, Hudson Management merged with our former parent company (then known as Republic Waste Industries, Inc.). From 1995 until 1998, Mr. Hudson served in various executive roles with our former parent company, including as Chairman of its Solid Waste Group and its President.
