Anthony Downs has served as a director of the Company since 1993. Since 1977, Mr. Downs has been a Senior Fellow at The Brookings Institution, a private, non-profit policy research center, and a self-employed speaker and writer. Mr. Downs is a life trustee of the ULI and is a director of the NAACP Legal and Education Defense Fund, Inc. He is currently a member of the ULI, the Counselors of Real Estate, the Anglo-American Real Property Institute, the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association, the American Economics Association, the National Academy of Public Administration and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
