Charles D Davidson

Charles D. (Chuck) Davidson is chairman and chief executive officer of Noble Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NBL). Chuck brings more than 40 years of energy industry experience to his role. He joined Noble Energy in October 2000 after serving as chairman, president and CEO of Vastar Resources, Inc. A member of the executive team that formed Vastar in 1994, he previously held a number of engineering, operations and executive positions at ARCO. Active in numerous industry and trade organizations, Chuck currently serves on the boards of America’s Natural Gas Alliance and the Gas Technology Institute. He also serves on the advisory board of the University of Texas in Dallas. He is an active member of the community and serves on the boards of the Society for the Performing Arts, Houston Food Bank and the Houston American Heart Association. He is the former chairman of the Board for the Sam Houston Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Chuck holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Purdue University and a master’s degree in management from the University of Texas in Dallas. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the National Petroleum Council.
