Tony Davis

Tony Davis is CEO of Inherent Group, LLC. Inherent invests in public and private companies that are expected to generate superior financial returns alongside positive social and environmental impact. Inherent also provides grants to non-profit organizations that are aligned with its mission of protecting the environment, increasing access to quality education, and improving health and wellness. Prior to Inherent Group, Tony was the co-founder and President of Anchorage Capital Group, LLC and served as a Portfolio Manager for all the domestic and offshore funds managed by the firm. In June 2010, he was named President of Anchorage Capital Europe, LLP and worked full time from London through 2015. Prior to Anchorage, he was a special situations investor for Goldman Sachs. Tony is an advocate for education reform and is involved with various organizations to that effect: Achievement First public charter schools, Education Reform Now political advocacy, the Lauder Board of Governors and Educate Girls India. Mr. Davis received his BS degree from Brigham Young University magna cum laude, an MBA from The Wharton School and an MA from The Lauder Institute. He lives in New York City with his wife and two children.
