Mr. Albrecht, a certified public accountant, certified internal auditor, and certified fraud examiner, joined the faculty of Brigham Young University in 1977 after teaching at Stanford University and the University of Illinois. He has also served as President of the American Accounting Association, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and Beta Alpha Phi. Mr. Albrecht serves on the Board of Directors of Red Hat, Inc., an open source software company; Cypress Semiconductor, a semiconductor firm; and Sun Power Incorporated, a manufacturer of high efficiency solar cells and solar panels. He is currently a trustee for the Financial Accounting Foundation that oversees accounting standard setting in the private and government sectors of the United States.
