Ruth Wisse is a former professor of Yiddish and Comparative Literature at Harvard University and a served as the Distinguished Senior Fellow of the Tikvah Fund. Wisse often discusses the politics of anti-Semitism, why Israel is under attack in our universities, and the study of Yiddish literature. Wisse was born to a Jewish family in Czernowitz, part of modern day Ukraine. She spent most of her childhood in Montreal, Canada and eventually earning a Ph.D from McGill University in 1969.
