Gary Charles George

A lifelong Springdale resident, Gary began with George's working summers in the family business. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1972 and began working for our company full time. He was appointed President in 1980 and served in that role supporting his father, Gene, until taking over as CEO in 1994. Over his career, he served George's, Northwest Arkansas, and the poultry industry in various capacities. In addition to leading George's, Gary served on the Boards of the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association, the Arkansas Poultry Federation, and the Arkansas Industrial Development Commission. Additionally, he was a Trustee and Chairman of the Board for the University of Arkansas. Currently, he is serving on the Board of Directors of J.B. Hunt and the National Chicken Council, and he is Chairman of the Board of Legacy National Bank.
