Sameer joined Accel in 2008 and focuses on consumer Internet, software and services investments. He is responsible for investments in Bonobos, Collective Media, Dropbox, Opower, Quidsi (parent of diapers.com and soap.com; acquired by Amazon.com), Sonatype, Spotify and StumbleUpon. Prior to joining Accel, Sameer was a partner with Sequoia Capital, where he worked on venture capital and growth equity investments in software, Internet, digital media, SaaS, and security companies. He led investments such as Barracuda Networks, Dropbox, eHarmony, Gracenote (acquired by Sony), Sourcefire (NASDAQ: FIRE), and Trulia. Sameer was previously a Principal at Broadview, an investment banking firm specializing in technology mergers and acquisitions, and he also held technical field sales and consulting positions at Oracle. Sameer has a BSEE and MSEE from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
