Sanford L. Gottesman is President of The Gottesman Company, a real estate development company he formed in 1993. Based in Austin, Texas, the company concentrates on office, retail, industrial, and land development. From 1986 through 1992, Mr. Gottesman was Managing Partner for Trammell Crow Company, South Central Region; and President and Chief Executive Officer of Trammell Crow Central Texas, Inc. From 1977 through 1986, he was Managing Partner for Trammell Crow Company in Austin; and from 1973 through 1977, he served as a Leasing Agent with Trammell Crow Company in Austin. Mr. Gottesman has served on a number of local task forces and has been active in many civic organizations. Currently, he is a member of the University of Texas (UT) Chancellor’s Council Executive Committee, UT University Development Board and UT Center for Real Estate Finance Advisory Board. He is also a member of the Austin Area Research Organization. He is a former Director of the Austin United Way Campaign, Austin Chamber of Commerce, KLRU, public television station and Seton Fund. Mr. Gottesman also served as Chair of the Central, Texas YPO Chapter and as a board member of the Austin Real Estate Council. Mr. Gottesman was the recipient of the Josiah Wheat Award of Merit for Historic Preservation Award from the Heritage Society of Austin; the Carl W. Burnette Award for Historic Preservation from the Austin Community Foundation; the Austin’s Best Developer award from Austin Magazine; and the 2004 Commercial Real Estate Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Gottesman received his BBA from the University of Texas at Austin in 1973.
