Mr. Rousseau was promoted to Group President of St. Jude Medical in January 2008, with the Company’s four product divisions reporting to him. He was named President of St. Jude Medical's U.S. Division in July 2001. He joined the company on February 15, 1999, as Senior Vice President, Global Marketing for the Cardiac Rhythm Management business. In August 1999, Mr. Rousseau was appointed Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing and the previously separate departments, Marketing and Sales, were combined under his leadership. Prior to his tenure at St. Jude Medical, Mr. Rousseau worked for Sulzer Intermedics, Inc. for 11 years as Vice President of several functional areas and as Director, Risk Management. Mr. Rousseau received his B.B.A. degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Risk Management & Insurance from the University of Georgia. He also was published in the University of Georgia, AMA Management textbook and the Sulzer Technical Review, Switzerland. In addition to his scholastic credentials, Mr. Rousseau was presented with the Industry Alliance Award from the American College of Cardiology for two years concurrently; awards in 1995, 1996 and 1997 from the North American Pacing & Electrophysiology Society for outstanding support of educational programs; the ADDY Award in 1994, 1995, 1996 and 1997 from the Houston Advertising Federation for promotions; and the Texas Award for Innovation and Assistance in the Business/School Partnership Program in the Texas school system.
