Albert Frere

Belgium's richest man owns 28 percent of Pargesa Holding, a publicly traded company that owns half of closely held Groupe Bruxelles Lambert. Through the group, the Geneva-based business has interests in French oil giant Total, energy company Engie, cement manufacturer LafargeHolcim and drinks maker Pernod Ricard. He took over the family business at age 17 after his father's death.
