Robert L. Bianco, Jr. is a senior vice president of Con-way Inc. and president of Menlo Worldwide Logistics, LLC, a $1.4 billion global provider of logistics, transportation management and supply chain services. Menlo Worldwide Logistics is a subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE:CNW), a $4.7 billion freight transportation and logistics services company headquartered in San Mateo, Calif. Mr. Bianco was named to his current position in 2005. As Menlo's president, he has executive responsibility for the strategic direction, financial performance and business growth for Menlo's worldwide operations, which span North America and five continents. Mr. Bianco began his career as a logistics officer in the U.S. Army. Stationed in Europe, he was responsible for the transportation of supplies to combat units in Europe. Mr. Bianco is a member of the Council of Logistics Management. He is a native of San Francisco, Calif., and earned a bachelor's degree in history from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and a master's degree from the University of San Francisco. Mr. Bianco is based at Menlo Worldwide Logistics' headquarters in San Mateo, Calif.
