Alexandra C. Stanton is CEO of Empire Global Ventures LLC, a New York-based international trade and business development firm. Having recently served as Chief of Staff at the Empire State Development Corporation (New York State’s economic development agency), her previous experience includes stints at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in Washington, D.C. as a Clinton Administration appointee, and in the New York State Senate as Senior Advisor to the Democratic Leader, David A. Paterson. A veteran of state and national campaigns, Ms. Stanton founded a national student reproductive health organization in 1989, and later joined the Paris-based Doctors of the World, implementing their international organizational development programs. Aside from serving as Co-Chair of J StreetPAC, Ms. Stanton is Vice-Chair of the board of the Parrish Art Museum in New York. She was a founding member of the Democratic National Committee’s Women’s Leadership Forum Network (NY), and serves as a member of the New York Public Library’s Library Council and the Advisory Board of the Urban Assembly School for the Performing Arts. Ms. Stanton received her B.A. from Cornell University and her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, and is a member of the New York Bar. She resides in New York City with her husband and child.
