Mr. Giuffra is a partner in Sullivan & Cromwell, the New York law firm. He was the chief counsel to the Senate Banking Committee from 1995 to 1996. He graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received a law degree from Yale University and later served as a law clerk to Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist. He is a son of Dr. Mary Giuffra and Robert J. Giuffra of Bronxville, N.Y. His mother is a psychotherapist practicing in Bronxville and Eastchester. She is also the chairwoman of the Home Nursing Association of Westchester County.
