Franklin M. Fisher, Ph.D., is the Jane Berkowitz Carlton and Dennis William Carlton Professor of Microeconomics, Emeritus at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he taught for 44 years. He has also served as a director, and later the Chair of the Board CRA International. He has been the Board Chair of Americans for Peace Now, and is a former Treasurer and President of NIF. in addition to serving on three other Boards. A well-known economist, Professor Fisher has taught at Harvard University, University of Chicago, Oxford, the University of Canterbury, Hebrew University, and Tel Aviv University. For the past 25 years, Professor Fisher has been the Chair of an international project focused on the economics of water, especially in the Middle East.
