Lisa Carnoy is Head of Global Capital Markets for Bank of America Merrill Lynch and is a member of the Global Corporate and Investment Banking Operating Committee. In this role, she leads 700 Capital Markets professions across Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance and Origination of Corporate Derivatives and Fx, across the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Emerging Markets. Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s capital markets platform has won multiple awards for excellence. Recent awards include: Euromoney Best Global Equity House.; Global Finance Best Global Debt Bank and Most Creative Investment Bank. Prior to her GCM-wide role, Lisa was Global Head of Equity Capital Markets. During her 15 year tenure in ECM, Lisa focused on clients in the FIG/Insurance and Healthcare sectors, as well as key Financial Sponsor relationships. Lisa is active in Diversity and Recruiting initiatives across Bank of America. She is Executive Sponsor for the Women’s Leadership Council in Global Banking and Markets, and Chair of the firm-wide Columbia recruiting team. In addition, she is a member of the Bank of America Brand Council. Lisa earned a BA cum laude in History/American Studies from Columbia and an MBA from Harvard Business School. In 2010, Lisa became a Trustee of Columbia University where she chairs the Alumni Affairs and Development Committee. Lisa is a member of the Columbia Campaign for Athletics Leadership Committee and the Dean’s Alumnae Leadership Task Force. She is a co-founder of the Women’s Leadership Council for Athletics. For several years, Lisa participated as a board member for the Columbia College Alumni Association and Board of Visitors. She won the College’s John Jay Award in 2007 and the University’s Alumni Federation Medal in 2000. In 2012, Lisa was named to American Banker’s list of “Most Powerful Women in Finance” and in 2013, she received the Merit Award from the Women’s Bond Club.
