Donald Kramer has been a member of the Board of Governing Trustees of American Ballet Theatre since 2005. He was the Founder and former Chairman of Ariel Holdings Ltd. of Bermuda, and was also the Vice Chairman of ACE Limited. A Chartered Financial Analyst, Kramer was the founder of several successful insurance companies, following his retirement from the Wall Street community. He is currently a director of the National Benefit Life Insurance Company of New York (a subsidiary of Primerica), and is co-chairman of Bermuda First, a think tank dedicated to improving the island’s economy and social welfare. Since 2003, Kramer has served as Chairman of the National Dance Foundation of Bermuda (NDFB), a non-profit, Bermuda-based organization whose mission is to provide world-class training to the Bermuda dance community. Since its inception, the Foundation has granted numerous scholarships and financial aid to Bermuda dancers. In 2005, the National Dance Foundation established DanceBermuda, an international three-week summer intensive for local and visiting students run in partnership with American Ballet Theatre. DanceBermuda is the only dance-study program offered by ABT outside of the United States. Kramer is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Brooklyn College Foundation, where he holds a BA and an Honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters. He holds an MBA from New York University.
