Eric is a Managing Partner at Kivvit, a public strategies and communications firm with offices in Chicago, Miami, New Jersey, New York, and Washington D.C. Under Eric’s leadership, Kivvit has become one of the largest and fastest growing independent public strategy and communications firms in the country. Eric regularly provides counsel on corporate reputation management, government policy, organizational communications, public affairs, corporate transactions, public-private-partnerships, and crisis management. Eric has worked with clients in a wide range of fields, including automotive, defense, education, energy, entertainment, financial services, health care, insurance, international trade, land use, pharmaceuticals, retail, technology, and telecommunications. Prior to co-founding Kivvit, Eric was an executive at AT&T, where he managed public relations offices in Chicago, Atlanta, and Miami covering a 14-state-region in the central and southeastern United States. Earlier employment included time at Edelman working in the Reputation Management practice, where he directed media and public affairs campaigns. Before entering the field of public affairs, Eric spent nearly a decade working in politics and government including working for Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan. Crain’s Chicago Business called Eric one of the twenty most “powerful political insiders” in Chicago and listed him in “Who’s Who in Chicago Business.” Eric is a frequent guest speaker on communications and issues management. He is the recipient of the Silver Anvil Award from the Public Relations Society of America and the Silver Trumpet Award from the Publicity Club of Chicago. Eric is a native of Detroit and a graduate of the University of Illinois. He lives in Chicago with his wife and two children.
