Mark Steinkrauss has been vice president of corporate relations since 1998. He oversees the investor relations activities of the company and its publicly traded subsidiary, U.S. Cellular. He is responsible for day-to-day communications with the investment community and the financial media. He also oversees corporate public relations and employee communications. Before joining TDS, Steinkrauss was vice president of corporate relations for Fruit of the Loom for six years. Prior to that, he was director of investor relations for Digital Equipment Corporation for more than 14 years. Steinkrauss was also a national bank examiner for the Comptroller of the Currency; and an equities trader, activity analyst, and portfolio manager for Fleet Bank. He served 25 years in the U.S. Navy and retired as a commander. Steinkrauss is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) Ethics and Senior Roundtable steering committees. He has served as NIRI chairman and CEO and as president of the Investor Relations Association, the predecessor organization to NIRI. Steinkrauss is a former member of the New York Stock Exchange committee on shareholder communications. He was also chairman of the board of Digital Employee Credit Union and a member of several other boards. Steinkrauss has been an adjunct professor of finance in the MBA program at Northeastern University and is a frequent guest lecturer at colleges and universities. Steinkrauss received an MBA and a BS in business administration from Boston College.
