Shahara Ahmad-Llewellyn is a former owner and Vice Chairman of the Philadelphia Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Inc., a privately held corporation and the fourth largest Coke bottler in the United States. Prior to the bottling business, she had a long, groundbreaking and successful career in the home health-care field. She received Presidential appointments from both President Clinton and President Carter. When General Colin Powell started America's Promise, he appointed her his first Vice Chairman. Ms. Ahmad-Llewellyn is a founding member of several organizations and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of The National Constitution Center and of Jazz at Lincoln Center. Ms. Ahmad-Llewellyn is Co-Vice Chairman of The New 42nd Street and of Peace First. Mayor Michael Bloomberg appointed her a Commissioner to the NYC Commissioner on Women's Issues, where she is serving her second term.
