Jake Farber

Mr. Farber currently serves as a Vice Chair of the University of Judaism and is a past President of Camp Ramah. He is the immediate past Chair of the Jewish Federation Council of Los Angeles and served as Campaign Chairman of the United Jewish Fund for two years. Jake received his Bachelor’s in Accounting from the University of Southern California and then joined the metal recycling firm of Alpert & Alpert Iron & Metal, Inc. where became President in 1984 and Chairman in 1996. Jake has been active in recycling trade associations. He was President of the National Association of Recycling Industries (NARI) for two years and President of the Bureau of International Recycling (B.I.R.: an international recycling trade association in Brussels) for four years.
