Michael T. Wedge is a proven thought leader and authority in the retail industry, with over 35 years of experience in the retail business, and a former Fortune 300 CEO. He has a reputation for innovation, strategic vision, speed to market and world-class execution. He has delivered exceptional results in all facets of retailing, including sales development, private brands, operational efficiency, real estate, logistics, information technology, human resources, global sourcing and the development of new retail concepts. Wedge helped to build BJ's into an $8.5B Fortune 300 company. He conceived and developed the BJ's Travel, BJ's Optical and BJ's Gasoline businesses. Today, BJ's Wholesale is a $9B Fortune 300 retailer with 20,000 associates and one of the top 40 publicly traded retailers in the United States with more than 180 clubs currently in operation. Wedge is a current member of the National Association of Corporate Directors, has served as a Director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston since 2005, which is responsible for the First District of the Federal Reserve, which covers Connecticut (excluding Fairfield County), Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. Wedge has been a member of the Massachusetts Business Roundtable and has been a member of the Boston Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Commercial Club/Merchants Club of Boston since 2004. He has been a guest lecturer at Dartmouth College's Tuck School and at Columbia University.
