Kathryn G. Underwood joined Ledyard National Bank in 2005 as the President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Ledyard, she spent her entire professional career with the Key Bank organization in Maine. She started in lending, first with credit and workouts and then as a commercial lender for small businesses. She then spent the next twelve years in wealth management at Key, with responsibilities for managing the function for the state of Maine. Finally, for her last five years at Key, Kathy served as KeyCorp's District President in Maine with responsibility for all retail and business banking in the state. Key was a $2.5 billion operation in Maine with 64 branches. Kathy serves on the Boards of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, the New Hampshire Bankers Association and Kendal at Hanover. She is Vice Chair for the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Upper Valley Corporate Council. Kathy has a degree in Economics from the University of Southern Maine and she is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®).
