Joseph F Toot Jr

Retired President and Chief Executive Officer, The Timken Company (Tapered Roller Bearings and Specialty Steel). Mr. Toot joined The Timken Company in 1962 and served in various senior executive positions until his election as President in 1979 and Chief Executive Officer in 1992. He retired as President and Chief Executive Officer of Timken in December 1997 and then served as Chairman of the Executive Committee from January 1998 until April 2000. Mr. Toot has served as a director of Timken since 1968. He is also a director of Rockwell Collins, Inc. and a member of the Supervisory Board of PSA Peugeot Citroen.
