Michael MacDougall is a partner of TPG Capital. Mr. MacDougall leads the firm's global energy and natural resources investing efforts. Prior to joining TPG Capital in 2002, Mr. MacDougall was a vice president in the principal investment area of the merchant banking division of Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he focused on private equity and mezzanine investments. He is a director of Copano Energy; Graphic Packaging Holding Company; Harvester Holdings and its two wholly owned subsidiaries, Petro Harvester Oil and Gas and 2CO Energy Limited; Maverick American Natural Gas; Nexeo Solutions Holdings; and Northern Tier Energy as well as director of the general partner of Valerus Compression Services. Mr. MacDougall served on the board of managers of Texas Genco prior to its sale to NRG Energy in 2006. He also serves as the chairman of the board of The Opportunity Network and is a member of the board of the Dwight School Foundation and Iselsboro Affordable Property. Mr. MacDougall received his bachelor's of business administration, with highest honors, from the University of Texas at Austin and his master's of business administration, with distinction, from Harvard Business School.
