Scott B. Ullem was appointed Corporate Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Edwards Lifesciences in January 2014. Edwards Lifesciences is the global leader in the science of heart valves and hemodynamic monitoring. Prior to joining Edwards, he was the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Bemis Company, a global supplier of packaging and pressure sensitive materials used in leading food, consumer and healthcare products with annual sales of $5.1 billion. Scott also had direct leadership responsibility for one of Bemis’ three business segments and the company’s information technology function. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Finance at the company. Before joining Bemis, Scott spent 17 years in global investment banking, serving as Managing Director for Bank of America Corp. and Managing Director for The Goldman Sachs Group. Scott received a B.A. in Political Science from DePauw University and an MBA in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. He is a 2007 Henry Crown Fellow of The Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
