Phyllis R. Yale has been a Partner with Bain & Company since 1987. Ms. Yale joined Bain and Company in 1982, and manages its Boston office. She has worked extensively in the healthcare and financial services industries. She has been the Chairman at Kindred Healthcare Inc. since May 22, 2014 and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Inc. since May 28, 2014. Since 2000, she has been a Trustee of The Bridgespan Group, Inc. (formerly Bridgespan Group). Ms. Yale has been a Director of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Inc. since September 2012. She has been an Independent Director of Kindred Healthcare Inc. since January 2010. She has been a Director of the United Way of MassBay since 1999 and Boston Chamber of Commerce since 2002. She has been Director of Pediatric Services of America Inc., since February 2006. Ms. Yale serves as a Director of NeighborCare, Inc. (Formerly, Genesis Health Ventures, Inc.) and National Specialty Hospitals, Inc. She serves as Director of Cradles to Crayons. She has worked for Bain and Company for 30 years, as a leader in their healthcare practice. She works with health care payers, providers, and medical device companies, and frequently advises the world's leading private equity firms on their investments in the health care sector. She is the author of The Patient of the Future which was presented at the Annual Meeting of Healthcare Governors of the World Economic Forum and she has also been published in the Harvard Business Review. She is a frequent speaker on topics relating to health care, strategy development and organizational development. Ms. Yale received her Bachelor of Arts (A.B.) degree from Harvard University in 1978, and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School in 1982.
