Ables retired as chief administrative officer of Spectra Energy Corporation in 2017. During her more than 30-year career at Spectra. she served in various finance roles including VP of audit services, and chief ethics and compliance officer. Previously, she was SVP and CFO for Duke Energy Gas Transmission. She currently serves on the boards of Cabot Oil & Gas Corp. and the Houston Methodist Hospital Foundation.
