Bob Rivet was a key member of the team that drove the strategic renewal of the Semiconductor Products Sector, said Hector. His experience in dealing with a wide range of issues equips him well to make important contributions at AMD, and we are thrilled to have a man of his caliber join the team. A 24-year veteran of Motorola, Rivet has extensive experience in the semiconductor industry, having served in a number of positions in Motorola semiconductor operations since 1981. Rivet initially joined Motorola in 1976 as a senior financial analyst and senior accountant. He holds an MBA degree from the University of Texas Graduate School of Business, and a BS degree in accounting from Northern Illinois University. Rivet will replace Francis P. Barton. Barton will remain at AMD to assist Rivet during a transition period. I would like to recognize and thank Fran Barton for his significant contributions to the company during his tenure here, concluded Ruiz.
