Irene M. Esteves served as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Time Warner Cable Inc., from May 2011 to May 2, 2013. In this role, Ms. Esteves oversees all of the company's finance functions, including treasury, accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax, mergers and acquisitions, and investor relations. Based in the company's New York City headquarters, she is a member of the senior management team and reports to Glenn Britt, Chairman and CEO. In her 30-year career, Ms. Esteves has held executive positions in finance, strategy, business development and M&A at several leading U.S. and international companies. She joined Time Warner Cable from XL Group plc, a global insurance and reinsurance company, where she served as Executive Vice President and CFO. Prior to that, she was Senior Executive Vice President and CFO of Regions Financial Corporation in Birmingham, Alabama. Before that, Ms. Esteves was Senior Vice President and CFO of the Capital Management Group at Wachovia Corporation in Charlotte. She previously held executive roles in domestic and global finance, human resources and corporate strategy at Putnam Investments in Boston and Miller Brewing Company in Milwaukee. Ms. Esteves started her career at S.C. Johnson & Son Inc. (SC Johnson Wax) in Racine, Wisconsin, where she rose to Division Controller of North American Home Care during her 13-year tenure. She previously served on the boards of The Timberland Company, Diversey Inc., and Mrs. Baird's Bakeries Inc. Ms. Esteves received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan, School of Business, and an MBA with highest honors from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. She lives in New York with her husband Steve Pearce.
