Kerry Preete is Executive Vice President of Global Strategy at Monsanto Company, where he is responsible for recognizing and pursuing strategic growth opportunities that help the company achieve its mission to find smarter ways to sustainably feed a growing global population. Kerry oversees a team charged with identifying emerging trends and partnership opportunities that have the potential to transform agriculture. This includes a dedicated focus on developing new technologies and expanding existing platforms to provide an integrated solutions approach to help farmers around the world get the most out of every acre and every harvest while conserving the Earth’s natural resources. In recent years, Kerry has driven the company’s industry-leading expansion in precision agriculture and shaped groundbreaking partnerships to develop new technologies, such as the BioAg Alliance with Novozymes. Kerry brings a lifetime of agriculture and business experience to his position. He grew up on his family’s farm in Saskatchewan, Canada, and joined Monsanto in 1985 as a sales representative. During his career, he has led key divisions of the company including Global Product Strategy; U.S. Commercial Business; Seminis, Monsanto’s Vegetable Seed Division; and International Commercial Business; and he also served as President of Monsanto’s Crop Protection Division before moving to his current role. Kerry resides in St. Louis, where he is actively involved in the community. He coaches youth hockey teams and serves on the board of directors of the AAA St. Louis Blues Amateur league. He currently serves on the board of directors of PolyOne Corporation and is a member of the Compensation Committee and Environmental, Health and Safety Committee. Kerry holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.
