John Edward Cleghorn

Cleghorn previously served as a director of Molson since 2003. He has been Chairman of the Board of Canadian Pacific Railway since May 2006 and has been a director since 2001. Mr Cleghorn has been Chairman of the Board of SNC-Lavalin Group Inc, an international engineering and construction company, since 2002. He retired as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Bank of Canada in 2001, a position he had held since 1995. He held several senior positions at Royal Bank of Canada including President in 1986, Director in 1987, Chief Operating Officer in 1990, Chief Executive Officer in 1994 and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in 1995. He graduated with a BComm. from McGill University in 1962, where he is Governor Emeritus and a member of the McGill Desautels Faculty of Management's International Advisory Board. He is an Officer of the Order of Canada and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ontario and Québec.
