Richard A Lorraine

Richard A. Lorraine is senior vice president and chief financial officer for Eastman Chemical Company. A native of New York City, Lorraine graduated from New York University with a B.S. degree in accounting in 1976. He began his career with Westinghouse Electric Corporation in 1963. In 1978 he joined Clark Equipment Company where he held various financial positions. In 1980 Lorraine joined ITT Automotive as chief financial officer of the company’s Fluid Technology Group, and over the next four years, he rose to the position of chief financial officer of ITT’s Automotive Group. In 1990, he was named president of ITT Automotive Aftermarket Group. In 1995, Lorraine joined Occidental Chemical Corporation as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Occidental Chemical Corporation, OxyChem, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum Corporation and is a chemical manufacturer, with interests in basic chemicals, vinyls, and performance products. In addition to his finance responsibilities, Lorraine also led the purchasing, logistics and e-business functions of the $3 billion chemical company. He held these positions until joining Eastman in November of 2003.
