From 1979 to 1981, Mr. Best served as a Professional Accounting Fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant at the Securities and Exchange Commission. Mr. Best has served as one of our directors since the merger in November 2003 and served as a director of Biogen, Inc. from February 2003 until the merger.
