Theresa Sackler

British-born Dame Theresa Sackler was Mortimer Sackler third wife, and mother of three of his seven children. She has never held an executive position at Purdue Pharma, but Dame Theresa, the Boston state court filing claims, was among those responsible for the opioid epidemic. Dame Theresa Sackler is the only UK-based member of the Sackler family named in the Massachusetts lawsuits; the other seven are based in the US. A former primary school teacher at the Sisters of Our Lady of Sion Convent in Notting Hill Gate, Dame Theresa was born Theresa Rowling in Staffordshire in 1949; she was 33 years younger than Mortimer.
