James P Domagalski

Prior to his election as ECRC Chairman, Domagalski served as Orchard Park Republican Chairman for a decade. He left office in Orchard Park with nine out of ten village and town elected legislative seats in the hands of Republicans. During his time as OP Chairman, Domagalski also served as the Erie County Republican Committee’s Vice-Chairman for Communications from 2001 to 2006, and was the Western New York director for the Bush/Cheney re-election campaign of 2004. The Chairman developed his passion for politics while serving in Washington, DC as a congressional intern to Congressman Jack Kemp in 1986. Chairman Domagalski is a trial attorney and partner with the law firm of Hiscock & Barclay, LLP. He joined Hiscock & Barclay in 2002 after it merged with the law firm of Saperston & Day, where he had been a partner since 1997. Domagalski’s practice specializes in construction, employment, business and municipal litigation. He has extensive state and federal court experience and a multi-state arbitration practice. He has served as lead counsel in litigated matters throughout New York and in jurisdictions across the country, including Tennessee, Illinois, South Carolina, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. In addition to his work in the law and in politics, Domagalski has been devoted to the Western New York community. A cancer survivor following a battle with leukemia, he served two terms as the president of the Board of Trustees for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Western New York form 1999 to 2000. He is currently a member of the Roswell Park Alliance Community Board and served as the chairman of the Roswell Park holiday card project from 2001 to 2002. He is also the past president of the Buffalo Bills Quarterback Club, past president of the University of Notre Dame Alumni Club of Buffalo & Western New York, and past president of the Polish Advocates Club. Domagalski also currently sits on the Mercy Hospital of Buffalo Foundation Board and is a member of the Leadership Buffalo Class of 2001. A graduate of Orchard Park High School, Domagalski attended the University of Notre Dame, where he obtained dual degrees in government and economics in 1987. Following his graduation from Notre Dame, the Chairman enrolled in the Syracuse University College of Law, where he graduated in 1990. Jim Domagalski’s professional, political, and community service work has previously received recognition from Buffalo Business First newspaper as a member of its 40 Under 40 Class of 2001, and by the Am-Pol Eagle as its 2004 Citizen of the Year in the category of law. He was also recently selected as Orchard Park Republican of the Year. The Chairman and his wife Jennifer have been married since 1998 and are blessed with two wonderful sons, Benjamin (6) and Philip (2).
