Alec Litowitz

Mr. Alec N. Litowitz is the Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of the Management Committee at Magnetar Capital, LLC. He co-founded the firm in September 2005 and is responsible for firm-wide management with a focus on investments including overall investment strategy, global equities investing, risk management, and the assembly and implementation of new trading teams and strategies. Prior to this, Mr. Litowitz was the Principal, Member of the Management, Investment, Compensation, and Strategic Planning Committees, and Global Head of Equities at Citadel Investment Group LLC until 2003. He was employed in the Corporate Finance division at JP Morgan and focused on the Financial Institutions Group. Mr. Litowitz holds a J.D. and an M.B.A from the University of Chicago and a B.S. degree in Mathematics and Anthropology from MIT.
