William Goodell joined Partner Fund Management as chief operating officer after nine years at Maverick Capital. Goodell assumed the position on June 1 2015, according to media reports. He is the brother of National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell and the son of former U.S. Senator Charles Goodell. Trained as an attorney, Goodell was general counsel for Julian Robertson’s Tiger Management and chief administrative officer for Louis Bacon’s Moore Capital. He joined $12 billion Maverick, which was founded by Tiger alum alum Lee Ainslie, in 2008 and was COO when he left at the end of May.
