Edmond J. English has been a director of BJ's since September 2006. Mr. English has been Chief Executive Officer of Bob's Discount Furniture since December 2006. Prior to joining Bob's, Mr. English was Chief Executive Officer from 2000 and President from 1999 of The TJX Companies, Inc., an off-price apparel and home furnishings retailer, until September 2005. He had been employed by TJX in a variety of executive positions since 1983. Mr. English is a director of Citizens Financial Group. Mr. English is a member of the BJ's Audit Committee and Executive Compensation Committee.
