John L. Rose is President, Upstream. Mr. Rose was appointed to his position in August 2007. Mr. Rose was the Executive Director in a major joint venture between KBR and Mitsubishi from October 2000 - April 2004. He also served as Vice President, Subsidiary Operations and Production Services from April 2004 - September 2005. Mr. Rose has held various positions within KBR, including directing KBR's upstream market covering onshore and offshore oil and gas projects, LNG and GTL. Prior to his current role, Mr. Rose was Executive Vice President of KBR's former Energy and Chemicals business segment. During his 35 years at KBR, Mr. Rose has worked on projects and operations involving the oil, gas, chemicals and minerals industry worldwide, including Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Australia, Japan, China, Mexico, Venezuela and Canada. In addition to his operations management role, Mr. Rose has also been the KBR sponsor of a number of major $1 billion-plus projects in the past 15 years. Mr. Rose holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnical University. He is a Registered Mechanical Engineer in California and Texas, and has been an active member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Industrial Advisory Board, Construction Industry Institute, and American Institute of Chemical Engineering.
