Tim Sandoval has served as Mayor of the City of Pomona since 2016 and was re-elected in 2020. Prior to holding elected office, he worked in education and community development, including leading youth programs and co-founding a mentoring organization focused on college access for low-income students. As mayor, Sandoval has been involved in local revitalization, civic engagement initiatives, and regional representation. He serves on multiple regional transportation bodies, including as Chair of the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority, Vice Chair of the Alameda Corridor East (ACE), and as a member of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) Board, where he represents San Gabriel Valley interests in regional transit planning and infrastructure governance.
