Wally Siembab is the Research Director of the South Bay Cities Council of Governments, a role he has held since 2003. He leads research and strategy integrating land use, transportation, and technology to support sustainability and equity initiatives across South Bay cities. His work includes major regional studies and demonstration projects related to transportation electrification, digital infrastructure, climate planning, and local mobility networks. Prior to joining SBCCOG, Siembab worked as an economist, municipal planner, and consultant for public agencies nationwide, including cities and regional transportation authorities. He holds advanced degrees in mathematics, urban economics, and urban planning from UCLA and has published and presented extensively on land use, telecommunications, and broadband policy.
