Kim Fuentes is the Deputy Executive Director of the South Bay Cities Council of Governments, a position she has held since 1998. She oversees the South Bay Environmental Services Center and manages regional programs focused on climate action, energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, renewable energy, and transportation. Her work includes development and implementation of municipal and subregional climate and adaptation plans, business sustainability programs, and public agency energy reduction initiatives. Fuentes began her career with Los Angeles County and later managed employee trip reduction programs for multiple South Bay cities and private organizations. Her programs have received multiple regional and statewide awards recognizing cross-agency collaboration, energy savings, and climate leadership.
