G Steven Farris

G. STEVEN FARRIS was appointed president, chief executive officer and chief operating officer in May 2002, having been president and chief operating officer of the Company since May 1994. He was senior vice president of the Company from 1991 to 1994, and vice president - exploration and production from 1988 to 1991. Prior to joining Apache, Mr. Farris was vice president of finance and business development for Terra Resources, Inc., a Tulsa, Oklahoma oil and gas company, from 1983 to 1988. He is U.S. Chairman of the U.S.-Egypt Business Council and is a member of the Board of Visitors of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas. At Apache, Mr. Farris is a member of the Executive Committee.
