Brian Leitch (Washington, D.C./New York), Senior Managing Director, joined Perseus in July 2007. Prior to joining Perseus, Mr. Leitch was head of Arnold & Porter’s business reorganization and bankruptcy practice, which was named by Chambers USA as the top ranked business restructuring practice in Washington, D.C. Mr. Leitch has more than 25 years of experience advising private equity funds, major corporations, airlines, financial institutions, and other clients on such matters as restructurings, and reorganizations. Mr. Leitch has represented investors in several of the largest business reorganization transactions undertaken by private equity firms in the United States, and has represented numerous parties in other major U.S. Chapter 11 proceedings, as well as in international and multi-jurisdictional insolvency proceedings. He has had a role in most of the major airline Chapter 11 cases since deregulation. In 2006, he received the Turnaround Management Association Large Company Transaction of the Year Award for his work in leading the reorganization of US Airways and its merger with America West. While practicing as a lawyer, Mr. Leitch received frequent recognition as a leading restructuring expert in Chambers USA, The Legal 500, Best Lawyers in America, and Lawdragon 500, among other publications. Mr. Leitch serves as a Board member for the following Perseus portfolio companies: Established Brands International, Inc., Haggar Corp., and Workflow Management, Inc. Mr. Leitch holds a B.A. from the University of Iowa and a J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law.
